Barry M Texture: Station Road Swatch & NOTD

Hi,
2013 is an year for texture polishes. Many brands like OPI, Nail Inc., Zoya , Barry M  etc. already launched their textured polishes and  there are many more yet to come. I have shown you OPI's gorgeous texture polishes from Mariah Carey Collection(you can see the post here) already. Last month Barry M also launched their textured polishes.  Surprisingly i bought only one polish from the collection.

Station Road is a soft yellow texture polish with subtle shimmer. Although the shimmer is very noticeable in the bottle but it hardly show on the nail. If u are like me and decided to see it on nail any hard way by keeping ur nails at different angles thn u may see it.

I didnt face any problem while applying it infact it is my first yellow polish that's non-streaky. Texture polishes applies like any other polish its only after they get dry, you can see and feel texture. Two coats of Station Road in following pics:

can you see the shimmer in bottle.. i sponged Barry M Blueberry Ice-cream on tips . Good thing is texture remain intact after sponging.

I guess i did almost all big nail art experiments with this polish :D.. I stamped it with Gals GA44 here:

Base: Barry M Station Road and Blueberry Icecream(sponged and dots)
Stamping Plate: GA44
Stamping Polish: Moyou Black

I misplaced stamp on index but i hope tht's ok cause overall i am loving this mani and still wearing this.

I then applied 2 coats of Seche Vite(1 thick and 1 thin) to smooth out the texture and whoa the shimmer got visible.

Finally, removing this polish was not as tough as glitters but yeah a very little more effort than removing regular polish.

Hope  you will like this  manicure. Do you like textures or not?? I know many girls around who doesn't but I am a fan :)

NOTD: Real Feather Nails

Hi,
I some time wonder that how much creative and artistic nails can be. Our nail community is getting bigger day by day and lots of new ideas and trends are welcoming by everyone whole heartily. Today's manicure is also one of those new idea. I saw few manicure using craft feather on nails and i quite like them and wanted to try them myself. So, i ordered a pack of bright multicolor feathers.

It was quite cheap may be some £3-4 don't remember exactly. Ok, so after a fail first attempt i did it again and here it is:

For base i used essence LOL and topped with lots of seche vite to smooth out everything.

So, what you say about this one.. Yay or Nay!!!

Today is also blog roll day for British Nail Bloggers so please check what other girls are doing today.

Tri Polish Challenge: Day 1

Hello Chics,

Yes you read it right. I am here with another challenge but this time just four manicures a month. Tri Polish Challenge is a theme free nail art challenge. Participants have to choose three polishes of three different given colors every month and stick to only those color while doing any manicure of their choice.

For March the three colors are purple, green and coral and i choose these three polishes for march.
china glaze surreal appeal(it looks more coral on nails thn to bottle see pics below), barry m blackberry(choose this because it stamps very well), china glaze def defying

So yeah these are my thee picks and now the manicure:
ok so i created a saran wrap mani base using both china glaze shades.. look how surreal appeal looking more orang-ish.. this is not its actually color .. when i applied top coat on the saran wrap base it turned the pinky coral to orang-ish coral i dont know if it is because of green or wht but that's how it is.

I stamp the base with Dashica XL Sdp 95 using my third color that is Barry M Blackberry and applies seche vite.

I dont know but i feel like something is missing in this mani. What you say??

Really excited to see what other girls will come up with..

St.Patrick's Day inspired Manicure and Born Pretty Store's Heart Glequins Review

Hello,
St. Patrick's Day is almost here and so many  fabulous manicures are all around so, i decided to do one too. This is actually my first St. Patrick's Day manicure ever. This manicure basically is inspired from the colors of festival.

polishes used: kiko 347 Dark Green, China Glaze Def Defying, OPI Alpine Snow, Color Club starry temptress top coat, Art Deco golden nail art pen and Seche vite

I used Born Pretty Store's heart glequins to make a flower. When i got the glequins i thought they will look very thick on nails but when i actually placed them,  they look just fine plus an application of top coat really fixed them from sides.

My Picks from China Glaze Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away Collection: Swatches & Review

Hi,
how you doing. I am having a great week so far. Today I am here with my picks from China Glaze Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away Collection. Ok, so i know its quite late and there are lots of fabulous swatches already everywhere, but that can't stop me to show these beautiful polishes.

Cirque Du Soleil 'Worlds Away collection is limited edition which was launched last year in December inspired from Cirque Du Soleil movie released late December. This collection has 12 polishes mix of cremes and glitters. I sadly didnt watch both the film and Cirque(hopefully someday).

Surreal Appeal, Creative Fantasy, Def Defying and Hanging in Balance. These 4 shades were in my wishlist since the collection launched and i an so happy to get them finally.

Surreal Appeal is a bright warm coral shade with pink undertones. This color is very gorgeous and need 2 coats to get full opaque. Its a perfect shade for spring. Application was smooth and non-patchy or streaky.  I dont have many corals in my collection and this one is my favorite so far. I applied 2 coats with top coat.

Creative Fantasy is dark purple polish.  Its little sheer and patchy for the first coat and need 3 thin coats to show full color. First coat dried matte and after 3 coats it was near matte side. I applied top coat for the pics. I love the color and even after 3 coats it didn't feel heavy on nails. It actually looked like jelly.

Def Defying is a bright chartreuse green polish with a creamy finish. Formula was nice  ans easy peasy to apply. This too take 2 coats to build full opacity. I used a top coat for following pics.

Lastly Hanging in Balance is a gorgeous bright blue creme. Apply like butter and opaque in 2 coats. I like this blue very much its not very unique but i like all blues.

By now you may know that i love bright shades and this collection has it. I love all the four shades and set them in a special place in my drawer. Do you have a soft spot for brights ?? Which one is your favourite among these shades.

Today is also round up day for British Nail Bloggers so have a look below that what other girls are doing.

If you havn't already then please enter in my Blogoversary Giveaway. It gonna end soon.

Color Club Halo Hues 2013- Eternal Beauty and Beyond Swatches/Review

Hi,
I have a very soft corner for holographic polishes in my heart. Last year color club launched their amazing Halo Hues collection. Those polishes has amazing formula and reasonably priced from other holographic polishes. No doubt that they become most popular collection. For those who dont know yet(i seriously doubt that), this year Color Club came up with 6 more new and bright shades in Halo Hues family. These collection is called Color Club Halo  Hues Spring 2013 collection.

Today, I am here to show you my 2 picks from the collection: Eternal Beauty and Beyond.

Formula wise both polishes are great. I had not problem in applying , no bald patches and descent drying time. In fact i feel this are even better than the previous collection, not that those polishes has some issues but i just feel that these have even great formula.

Eternal Beauty is a purple polish with very strong holographic effect. The color is slightly darker than the pictures but its so so gorgeous shade. I applied 2 coats of Eternal Beauty and topped it with a single coat of seche vite.

Above pics are clicked in lightbox as it was super rainy day. Here's a pic in shade :
Isn't the color looks lovely in shade too...

Next is Beyond... This polish stole my heart. Beyond is a black holographic polish. It's a one coat-er holo polish.. yes you see right.. I applied a single coat and whoa it was looking perfect.. but however to satisfy my guts i always apply 2 coats so here is Beyond with 2 coats and a coat of seche. Holographic effect look subtle in these pics but in real its stronger and nice.

Here is Beyond in shade..

Overall i love both the polishes. I had hard time getting halo hues 2012 collection... but this time Sally Magpies make it really easy and affordable... I got these polishes next day after placing the order.  These polishes costs $8 international and £7.50 in UK through Sally Magpies.

Do you also love holo polishes and what you say about these.

Oh and today is Friday Saturday, so it is or was day for Indian Lacquer Lover blog roll.. so please check out what other girls are doing today.
