Shimmer Polish Swatches Part 2- Carol, Nichole, Julie and Lucie

Hello Girls,

Today i am here with few more Shimmer Polish. I swatched Shimmer Marilyn, Candace and Liana here.
One thing i  like most about Shimmer Polish is beside they are loaded with glitters but formula is still nice and not hard to work with. I have Carol, Nichole, Julie and Lucie.

Lucie is a mix of silver and red glitters with few silver holo glitters in a clear base. I like the combination and the large amount of silver glitters as comapred to red. Formula is nice and easy to work with. Lucie can be wear  on its own with 3 coats for full coverage. I used 2 coats of Lucie on Barry M Lychee and Essie Mesmerize(accent nail) and single coat of seche for following pics.

Nichole is a clear base polish having different sizes of blue, red and silver hex glitters. This polish reminded me of my childhood, i was a big fan of blue and red combination back than so i like it. Here are 3 coats of Nichole and a coat of seche.

Julie is a mix of glitters of different size, different shape and different colors suspended in a clear base. Its different :).. Although there are lots of colors but purple glitters are in little more quantity than others. I used 2 coats of Julie over Barry M Strawberry Icecream and a coat of seche over.

Lastly my favorite among these four, Carol. It is a mix of gold , blue and black glitters with lots of iridescent. I love this polish. I can never thought of this kinda combination . Simply beautiful on its own. Here are 3 coats of Carol on Lychee and no base color for accent with top coat.

Overall i am happy with all of them. They have great formula and nice application. I am amazed that she is master in mixing these glitter, so many different combination and a perfect name for her polishes "Shimmer". I am gonna attend a wedding very soon and I cant imagine an Indian Wedding without bling.

You can buy Shimmer Polish from Cindy's Etsy Shop and can also contact her on Facebook. She also make custom made polishes so if you want anything specific or personalized then contact her.
So do you like attending weddings too ??

Orly Spring 2013 Hope and Freedom Collection Swatches and NOTD

Hi,
Today I have few polishes from Orly's Spring 2013  Hope and Freedom Collection to share with you. This collection has 6 polishes, mixture of cremes, glitters and shimmers. I have here Coachella Dweller, High on Hope and Melodious Utopia.

left to right Coachella Dweller,Melodious Utopia and High on Hope

All pictures are taken in lightbox.

Coachella Dweller is a spring green creme shade. Its not pastel but its pale and very springy. It took 3 thin coats for full coverage. First coat is little streaky and even out with a second coat but still need a third coat to bring out that shade perfectly. Its very little darker in-person then these picture. I applied 3 thin coats for  following pics with a coat of seche.

Melodious Utopia is a stunner yellow shimmer shade. Honestly when i saw this in bottle i did not quite like it. I was like ok another yellow and as with all the yellow shades i thought it would be streaky too but surprisingly this is my first yellow which is very very less streaky. This shade has a orange shimmer. It do need 3 thin coats thats what i applied for following pics and a coat of seche.

As you can notice, shimmer is pretty visible here.

High on Hope is again a shimmer polish in navy blue shade. This shade is pretty opaque than the last two and need just 2 coats. It has a purple shimmer to it and has a hint of multichrome effect. You can easily notice it in bottle and on nails. I used 2 coats for photos and a coat of seche vite.

I did a quick tape manicue using  Melodious Utopia and High on Hope.

Overall, i like Melodious Utopia and High on Hope more than Coachella Dweller, because later is sheer than the other two and i really dont like putting three coats and the wait in between.

What will be your picks from the collection.

Shimmer Polish Marilyn, Candace and Liana Swatch and Review(Part 1)

Hello Chics,

Hope you all having a great weekend. Today i am here with first part of my Shimmer Polish swatch series.  Shimmer Polish is creation of Cindy and her work is amazing with glitters. She sent me a love package few days ago so here we are with Shimmer Marilyn,Candace and Liana .

Do you ever feel need of sun-glasses to see a nail polish, if not then get one now.

First Candace, it's a clear base polish with holographic gold glitters along-with black and fuchsia glitters. You can see blue hints in glitters at different angles. I  actually love this combo of gold, black , blue and fuchsia, definitely very creative. I chose not to layer it over and use just 2 coats of Candace with 2 coats of seche vite for following pictures.

Next is Marilyn, it's a red/pink jelly base polish having microglitters. This is the most beautiful red glitter polish i have ever seen. 2 coats on its own but a third coat can be applied to cover sides of nails and deep burgundy color. 2 coats of seche.

Lastly Liana, again i chose not to do layering as this was so beautiful and glitter mix is so rich in colors tht it can be wear on its own. It has blue and black microglitters in clea base with some holo tints and  blue hex glitters. 2 coats with 2 coats of seche in following  pics.

So,overall i like all three of them. Regardless of jam pack glitters these applied smoothly although they need more top coat to smooth out the glitters but that's the case with every loaded glitter polish.

Shimmer Polishes sells international from $10 to $15.

You can buy Shimmer Polish from Cindy's Etsy Shop and can also contact her on Facebook. She also make custom made polishes so if you want anything specific or personalized then contact her.

So which one you like most. Stay tune for upcoming posts in this series as i have done some layering and nail arts using Shimmer.

Also check out what other lovely Indian Lacquer Lovers doing.
