Brand Review: Tip Top Nails

Hi Girls,
I hope many of you know about Tip Top Nails for those who doesn't, Tip Top Nails is a South African nail polish brand. Tip Top Nails stocks variety of polishes including creams, metallic, crackle, glitter etc. and also has many Nail Treatments like Cuticle Treatment,Anti-Fungal, Quick Dry and the one which amazed me most is Nail Bitters which is a bitter taste top coat that helps in stooping nail biting habit :D

When i come to now about Tip Top polishes, I was quite curious as they say that these polishes are vegan, Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP (Dibuthyl Phthalate) and Camphor FREE – and made in South Africa with the best raw materials. In addition these polishes are not tested on animals. Isn't it tempting enough.

I got a package to review which included some polishes and their base and top coat too and i am quite impressed with that. Polishes came well packed in a black shopping bag inside a cardboard.

I decided to swatch polishes in parts. Formula is neither runny nor thick.. i like the brush most.. its good in quality and cover my whole nail just in 2 strokes which is a bigg plus.

First polish is "Cherry's in the Snow" its a blood red cream polish which is opaque in 2 coats. Tip Top Nails has 2 range of polishes Tip Top Nail Chic Polish which are exclusive to Clicks Stores and Nail Addict by Tip Top which is exclusive to Foschini Stores Nationwide in South Africa.
gorgeous.. isnt it?? Application was smooth and they really dry quickly.

I also got U Crack Me Up Rikki Brest crackle polish in gold.
this polish is a duo bottle. one side has crackle polish and other side is topcoat. I thought to do a crackle notd on my red nails.
polish application is smooth and an included top coat really a big help for people like me who paint their nails in tube for instant notd for a party .. :D.

I further added some rhinestones to complete the look.

Finally i am very impressed with the polishes specially the brush and the drying time. They have variety of colors and some very interesting shades.  One thing i like about the brand is that they are very interactive on social media always doing some challenges, tips ans trick for nail art , tutorials etc.

You can check their range on the website Tip Top Nails.
You can also contact them on Facebook or Twitter

*** this product was sent to me for review but that doesn't effect my views.

Halloween Challenge: Day 8- Blood/Gore/Splatter

Hi gals,
i am one day late for the 8th manicure of Halloween Challenge..i am feeling very lazy these days maybe because of weather or smthng else i dont know.

So today's theme is Blood/Gore/Splatter and i did:
i created this manicure using spun sugar technique which i first saw at Chalkboard Nails. This technique is very easy. Here are the steps:

1. Prepare your base: i applied a base coat and then 2 coats of Barry M peach melba. you want your base can apply the top coat here(read below why). I applied 1 coat of poshe quick dry top coat.
2. for creating thin/thick strings put few drops of your desired polish on a rough paper and let it dri for few mins making the formula thicker(you can blow on the surface to speed up the process).

3. Using a toothpick or dotting tool check if there are lil strings forming in the polish or not like this:

4. now dip the tool in the polish and  lift it over your nail and go in a circular motion around your finger  without touching your nail(this will put the string on ur nail). Again dip the tool n the polish and repeat the process till you achieve your desired look.
 5. This is the complete look. Now as I said i did try to apply a top coat here but that makes my spun sugar polish bleed hence messing the art. Anyway without top coat it gves a nice 3D look to the nail.

Hope i am understandable here. Please do comment if you have any queries about the technique.

Halloween Challenge: Day 7- Pumpkins

Hi chickas,
how you all doing... this post is really late today... today's theme in CNT challenge is pumpkins.
I got my HD plates just today and i luv the designs.. i will probably post them here or on Facebook soon.

Here's my mani:
base:  gala of london
stamping polishes: Moyou black and Konad pastel orange
stamping plate: HD 01 and HD 03
these plates are designed and selling by our fellow blogger Bunny Nails and u can buy these plates from HERE.

i am not very much pleased with the orange stamping polish as its looking very light.. i am still  searching for good stamping polishes over darker base.
i like the HD plates and this tree is my fav. I honestly didnt put more effort in this mani coz when i was doing this mani i got some good news from my bestie and i left the mani as it is and started chatting with her :)

hope tht u like this mani.
stay tuned for my next theme mani.. i have a new technique to share with you all.

F4 Polish Midnight Circus and Bubble Yum Swatches, Review

Hola,
Today, i am here with another Indie swatches and review.. F4 Polish is handmade polishes created by 3 sisters. I have been sent 2 polishes to review, they are Midnight Circus and Bubble Yum.

Midnight Circus and Bubble Yum

First of all i like the label, it's hand written and a big rhinestone accenting for O.
Came to me well packed.

Here's the close swatch of the formula:
 pretty, isn't it..

First Midnight Circus, the name is so accurate. This polish have tiny matte black glitters with medium square white and red, purple, blue, yellow, orange, green hex glitters suspended in a clear base.
This polish is so beautiful that it will go great with any base.

Here i applied 2 coats of polish over a white base:
and this one over models own aciiied.
i didnt use any top coat and the glitters were easy to apply.

second polish is Bubble Yum which is really yummy :).. bubble yum is also clear base polish having various sized matte white and pink hex glitters ,and fine dark pink glitters.

i layered 2 coats of bubble yum over black,
also over models own true blue ( sorry the blue base swatches are taken in flash as i applied it and slept for like 5 hrs :D and when i woke up it was dark outside.. )

both of the polishes just need a little bit of swirling around before application and you are good to go.

all F4 polishes are big 3 Free!!!
These polishes costs $8 and also available in minis($4) upon requests.
Shipping to US and Canada $3 and $5 respectively, and for intentional orders PM them on their FB wall.

F4 polish is now included in my favorite indie brand  and  i definitely recommend these glitters. :)

you can contact them on their Facebook Page and their Etsy Shop.

*** these polishes are sent to me for review however that doesnt effect my thoughts.

Review: Stamping Polishes from Born Pretty Store

Hi,

Today, I got some stamping  polishes to review from Born Pretty Store

First of all i hope all of you familiar with Born Pretty store for those who doesn't know yet, Born Pretty Store is an online nail art, beauty and life style store who sells both in retail and wholesale. Born Pretty Store ships free worldwide. I personally like the store very much for the variety and price.

I got these stamping polishes:
L->R Stamping polish in Red, Yellow,  Blue, White and Black

each bottle contains about 5ml polish.
The polishes arrived well packed and in perfect condition. I  always get very excited to see new stamping polishes :D... these polishes costs $6.93( can you believe that) and here's the link to product.

I stamped with these polishes over black and white base. i wanted a real feel so stamped them right on my nails.
red is little more vibrant than whats is actually looking here.. yellow, blue and black are great on white base.
i  did applied the top coat a lil early hence messed the red a lil bit.

the polishes worked great over white or light shade base.

then i stamped them over black base:
ok so as you can see they are not as vibrant as white base. Red is okiesh but i wish yellow and blue should be bit more sharper. white stamping polish is good.

Overall i think even if  yellow and blue doesn't work great on black base, they are still good buy  for the price and of-course very good for  practicing.

Born Pretty Store is celebrating 2nd Anniversary whole October and having lots of daily and monthly discounts.
You can also get 10% discount using CPL91
i have put a banner is sidebar with code.
Do check them out.

** these polishes were sent to me for review however that doesn't effect my opinion.
