DIY: How To Make Colorful Stamping Polish

Hello,

Today's post is not an usual post. You all know that I dont have my whole nail collection with me currently and that is why i have just black and white stamping polish and if you are stamping addict like me then you must agree that only black and white stamping polishes aren't enough.

I thought why not franken some stamping polish with these two basic shades but my tattoo ink set is also packed with my nail stuff, so that wasn't an option either(see the tutorial for that  here in Beaching Nail's tutorial).

So, i thought to try something which is available easily. First see the result here:

Nail That Technique Challenge Week 2 - Syrup Gradient: Nail Art and Tutorial

Hello,

This week's challenge prompt is Syrup Gradient. Last year, I did a manicure with this technique(see here) and I loved how easy and non messy gradient technique it is. Moreover it requires no tool as the gradient effect is created using the nail polish brush itself.

I first saw this technique on Chalkboard Nails and saw the tutorial on Rebecca Likes Nails. I did single color gradient previously and this time i decided to go with two colors. I loved how this manicure turned out. Have a look yourself: (go till the end of the post to check out video tutorial).

Video Tutorial: How to do a Stamping Decal Manicure

Hellooooo,

Today i am so so excited to tell you all that I did my first video tutorial ever. I got so many request here and on facebook for doing a tutorial for stamping decal method which i used in my Disney Princesses Manicure and Winnie The Pooh Manicure.  I initially thought to do a regular picture tutorial but then i thought video tutorials are always better than picture tutorials as video helps everybody to understand it better.

First have a look on what i created:
Comic Art Stamping Decal Tutorial
Base: OPI alpine snow
Stamping Plate: CH48

First of all its very funny to hear your own voice.  I was so nervous and i did a lot of mistakes. This is my first video so i tried to be as much explanatory as i could at that point if time but now when i see it i know that it could be better.

So here's the video. Please comment,  rate and subscribe to me on youtube and show your love as you always do... thank you so much you all for encouraging me to try new things <3<3

I would really love to know your response and sugesstions..

Halloween Challenge: Day 8- Blood/Gore/Splatter

Hi gals,
i am one day late for the 8th manicure of Halloween Challenge..i am feeling very lazy these days maybe because of weather or smthng else i dont know.

So today's theme is Blood/Gore/Splatter and i did:
i created this manicure using spun sugar technique which i first saw at Chalkboard Nails. This technique is very easy. Here are the steps:

1. Prepare your base: i applied a base coat and then 2 coats of Barry M peach melba. you want your base can apply the top coat here(read below why). I applied 1 coat of poshe quick dry top coat.
2. for creating thin/thick strings put few drops of your desired polish on a rough paper and let it dri for few mins making the formula thicker(you can blow on the surface to speed up the process).

3. Using a toothpick or dotting tool check if there are lil strings forming in the polish or not like this:

4. now dip the tool in the polish and  lift it over your nail and go in a circular motion around your finger  without touching your nail(this will put the string on ur nail). Again dip the tool n the polish and repeat the process till you achieve your desired look.
 5. This is the complete look. Now as I said i did try to apply a top coat here but that makes my spun sugar polish bleed hence messing the art. Anyway without top coat it gves a nice 3D look to the nail.

Hope i am understandable here. Please do comment if you have any queries about the technique.

Tutorial & NOTD: New Nail Trend- Velvet finish Nails Look

Hi,
Happy Friendship Day to u all (belated)...  i am so grateful to blogging cause i come to knw so many nice ppl and learn really a lot.. this friendship day was even more special as we blog friends did a secret friend gifts exchange thing.. :)...

coming to the today's post the other day i was surfing internet and come to know about this Velvet finish nail look and i just get clean bowled.. it looked so so catchy tht i want it on my nails right thn... here's what i did:

Velvet finish manicure or flock manicure is a new trend in Manicure World... and the hero of this manicure is a flocking powder which is a  made up of masse of tiny fibers and gives a super velvety finish. i got my set from ebay.

Here's how to do it:
1.Apply base coat and then 2 coats of base polish(Barry M Strawberry Ice cream which is closest match to my pink flocking powder)
2. when the base color dries completely apply clear top coat on ur one nail and either dip ur nail in flocking powder or pour some flocking powder over it.
3. press gently with ur finger tip in tap-tap motion and dust off the excess powder on a paper.
4. repeat step 2 and 3 for each of ur nail one at a time.
Ta-dahh and its done..
doesnt it looks like yummy candy floss :)
and boy it was super soft and velvety on touch .. i just keep touching it every now and then..

its waterproof and the powder doesn't fall out.. i did dishes like 2-3 times.. cooked food.. and hell lots of other work as i just shifted to new room

it stayed only for a day on me because i was doing hell lot of physical work but i think it can stay pretty descent for 2-3 days and no doubts it amazing for fun outings and any special occasions.

so gals what u say .. is it a Yay or Nay !!!!

Tutorial: Half Moon Manicure

Hola,
i had wonderful weekend with my bro, sis, cousins n frnds .. played xbox, cards.. had our favs in meals and homemade vanilla mocha ice-creams... :) wht else u can expect from a summer-y weekend... it was like school days are back feeling.. coming to our subject .. i was wearing this half moon or reverse french manicure whole weekend... i was so impressed with it so i thought to do a tute for it..

half moon mani can be done using various thing like reinforcement binder stickers, french tip guides, nail art pens and i even tried it with XL size bindi :D :D....  but for this tute i used nail art pen.. Here's what i used:
first apply a base coat and then 2 coats of yellow polish.. u dont need to apply yellow polish throughout the nail coz u just want it to be perfect near ur nail origin area.. like this:
then using a black nail art pen draw a half ellipse at the bottom of your nail and applied 2 coats of black polish using curve as border
when the coats get dry completely make white dots on the black part of the nail using a white nail art pen or toothpick or dotting tool whatever available to u

when it get dry make small yellow dots over the white dots
finally apply a top coat and you are done
since when i bought my matte polisher i cant resist myself from applying it to every mani.. so i applied to this nail art too

hv u also tried half moon... and how do u like to spend ur weekends in summers..
hope u all like it.. i wld luv to hear from u all and plz become a member of my blog if u like it ..
