NOTD: Nautical Nail Art

Hello,

I had a great weekend, watched three movie back to back in our nearest cinema hall on Friday night had a lunch date on Saturday and i bought a bag for myself from Aldo. Also i found American Apparel polishes in their store at covent garden, London but didnt buy any :(... and finally a relaxed Sunday after tiring saturday evening.

Today i am here with a nautical manicure i did using Moyou Sailor Plate Collection 01. I am in love with moyou plates. I did almost ten manicures with them and posted around six of them but still whenever i see those plates i feel like i haven't stamp this image or that image. Honestly these are my first plates where i want to stamp more than 90% of the images on plates. So yeah i am not bore with them yet and still have so many manicure in mind.

Here is my manicure:

Delicate Lace Manicure - Lace style Nail Stickers

Hi Lovelies,

Yayy it's Friday again. this post is very special to me as this is my 200th post. Its been a long journey of learning till now and it will continue to be. Whenever i see my earlier posts i think how messier my manis was but thanks to all of you for inspiring and motivating me.

Today's manicure is a skittle lace manicure. I did this manicure using Born Pretty Store's Lace style stickers.

products used
base color: Barry M Lychee
skittle stripes: acrylic colors
Lace style stickers from Born Pretty Store
topped with Seche vite

These lace sticker comes in a pack of 30 different styles and very easy to use. You just need to pull it from the sheet and applied on the completely dry polish. After applying them on to the nails, they need a gentle press so they nicely stick to the base and doesn't wear off from sides(specially if you have curvy nails like me).  After that apply your top coat.

Honestly, i really like them although they needs little more time to set on curvy sides of my nails but once it sticks properly,  it doesn't wear off. I did another lace sticker mani before my trip to Prague and I wore that for whole 5 days without any damage.

You can get this Lace nail stickers from HERE. They are currently showing out of stock but i hope they will get back in stock soon.

Simple and Quick Stud Accent Manicure

Hello,

Happy 4th July to all of my US friends and i hope you had a great day and enjoying this long weekend. Today i have a simple and very familiar manicure to show you.

Nail Art Silver Round Stud Manicure
I did a little haul on my trip to Prague and bought some Essence and Catrice polishes. Essence Miss Universe is among them. Its a very beautiful greenish blue shade.
Essence Miss Universe
Essence 147 Miss Universe
The color itself is very pretty but in bottle it seems like a duo chrome polish with purple hints which didn't transferred on the nails. Formula is sheer and patchy so requires 3 thin coats for complete coverage but its worth it due to that sparkle it has. 3 thin coats with a coat of seche for above pictures.

Born Pretty Store round studs and Essence Miss Universe
In the above picture you can clearly see the purple hints in the polish bottle.. It would be amazing if they get transfer on nails..

I got these Born Pretty Store round stud few time back.  I posted a tetris manicure with their square studs few time back(you can check that here).  This one is rather simple and quick as when i am in hurry and dont have enough time than i prefer to do manicure with either effect polishes or use nail art decoration and also i find these nail art studs very chic.

I actually created two different accent nails with these nail art round stud.

Nail Art Decoration

Review & NOTD: Splash Mani on BeautyUK Cosmetics Candy Collection

hey ya!!!

today i am presenting u Beautyuk cosmetics Candy Collection glam nails.. BeautyUK, is a British beauty brand which can be found in most Superdrug stores or on www.beautyukcosmetics.com. Here's what they say about the company:

"Born and bred in the UK (hence the name), beautyuk has grown from strength to strength since its humble beginnings five years ago. We are a family run business, which is quite nice really in a world full of big, scary, faceless corporations, and it means we can provide a much friendlier, more tailored service for our customers.
We have big plans to become the number one colour cosmetics brand in the market and we think our website makes our statement quite nicely - we hope you like it."

i already own some of  polishes from their saloon professional range and quit pleased with their quality.. so whn i saw this collection on their fb page i couldnt resist d candy colors.. so i ordered and got the parcel in 2-3 days.. It came in a beautiful pink bubble envelope which is too pretty. Here's the collection:
from l-r  no.69 Jelly Bean, no.67 Bon Bon, no.70 Dolly Mixture, no.66 Gobstopper and no.65 Lollipop

Jelly Bean is a matte purple.. actually it isnt complet matte polish, it is just less shinier thn bon bon , dolly mixture and lollipop.
Dolly Mixture is a orange-red creme.
Bon Bon is a musturd yellow cream , its very streaky for d first coat compare to the other but get set with a little heavy 2nd coat.
Gobstopper is again a matte finish which i doesnt found actual matte but i like the shade so no regrets :)
Lollipop is a bright pink..it looks lil brighter thn the pics..
i applied 2 coats of each polish.
i did a silver splash (chapaak :P)  mani on thm
 Base color: beautyuk candy collection
Stamping polish: barry m silver foil
stamping plate: cheeky mega image plate

a close-up
the following pic i took after 2 days
these polishes had minimal chip. they are a bit streaky for first coat bt settles down for smoother finish on 2nd coat..
this polishes costs £1.99 per piece which is quite cheap right and they do ship international which is just awesome. you can also buy them from superdrug.
 hope u find it helpful.

Tutorial & NOTD: New Nail Trend- Velvet finish Nails Look

Hi,
Happy Friendship Day to u all (belated)...  i am so grateful to blogging cause i come to knw so many nice ppl and learn really a lot.. this friendship day was even more special as we blog friends did a secret friend gifts exchange thing.. :)...

coming to the today's post the other day i was surfing internet and come to know about this Velvet finish nail look and i just get clean bowled.. it looked so so catchy tht i want it on my nails right thn... here's what i did:

Velvet finish manicure or flock manicure is a new trend in Manicure World... and the hero of this manicure is a flocking powder which is a  made up of masse of tiny fibers and gives a super velvety finish. i got my set from ebay.

Here's how to do it:
1.Apply base coat and then 2 coats of base polish(Barry M Strawberry Ice cream which is closest match to my pink flocking powder)
2. when the base color dries completely apply clear top coat on ur one nail and either dip ur nail in flocking powder or pour some flocking powder over it.
3. press gently with ur finger tip in tap-tap motion and dust off the excess powder on a paper.
4. repeat step 2 and 3 for each of ur nail one at a time.
Ta-dahh and its done..
doesnt it looks like yummy candy floss :)
and boy it was super soft and velvety on touch .. i just keep touching it every now and then..

its waterproof and the powder doesn't fall out.. i did dishes like 2-3 times.. cooked food.. and hell lots of other work as i just shifted to new room

it stayed only for a day on me because i was doing hell lot of physical work but i think it can stay pretty descent for 2-3 days and no doubts it amazing for fun outings and any special occasions.

so gals what u say .. is it a Yay or Nay !!!!
