Two New Franken Polish and Borough Babe Supply Store Glitters: Review/Swatch

Hello
Frankening polishes is my latest love. I showed you my first franken here. After this polish turned out great it encouraged me to create more and i started my search to get more glitters. While searching etsy i come to know about Borough Babe Supply store.  They have really wide range on glitters, premixed glitters, mica and other franken supply. Store owner, Shannon is a lovely person sent me a love package to try out glitters.

I got them in 10 days near my hubby's b'day. Here are the two polishes i made.

Both of them as i said, are glitter bombs in a slightly tinted base.

I got following glitters:

I got one more glitter mix, of which i cldnt take picture as i used it all in creating Dream Valentine :)

Now to the swatches of polishes:

Birthday Boy as i said is dedicated to my loving hubby for all of his support and love.  This Polish has tint of sky blue with red square glitter, big holo blue , small white hex glitters with small white square and blue bar glitters. This also has small holo butterflies and tiny blue hex glitters for added shimmer.
Although it can  be wear  on its own with 3 coats for full opacity but i layered single coat here on  barry m retro blue. The glitter mix i used here is It's a boy with my own tiny blue hex.

Dream Valentine is a pink tint polish with red, pink purple hex glitters, red bar, white diamond and square glitters, blue stars and tiny purple hex. Here i layered a coat of dream valentine over opi lucky lucky lavender..this polish has slight placement issue as a single dip get loads of glitter out of bottle.

over all, i loved the pre mixed glitters as well as other glitters. Its been almost 12 days since i created the both and these swatches done yesterday. so you can see that glitters are still doing great and not sinking to bottom too.

Borough Babe Supply international at reasonable prices.
You can get these as well as other glitters on their Etsy Store or you can also check their blog boroughbabesupply.blogspot.com
and can find them on Pinterest.

Please do comment  if you like Birthday Boy or Dream Valentine or both.

piCture pOlish Collaboration Shades: Mallard and Focus Swatch/Review

Hello Chics.
Today, I am very excited to share my first Picture Polish shades with you. Picture Polish is an Australian brand well known in polish lovers for their shades and amazing quality.

They recently launched 4 new collaboration shades. I was so drooling over Mallard and Focus since i saw their swatches on Jen(The PolishAholic) and Sheila's(Pointless Cafe) blog. Good thing is a new UK online store Sally Magpie recently started selling piCture pOlish (along with many other brands which were not available here yet) in UK and EU. So when she listed these shades i placed an order and got the polishes in a day.

Coming to the shade, "birds of a feather polish together!" Mallard  is a collaboration shade with Jen from The PolishAholic.  Inspiration of shade as name say is feathers of Mallard duck, Its a beautiful deep green base with green gold shimmers and green, orange flakes. This polish looks stunning when light hits, because of green-gold shimmer but even in low light conditions green-orange flakes make it look beautiful.

Mallard is a 2 coat opaque polish with excellent formula. Personally i like this polish in light when it shows emerald green color which is color of 2013.

I thought to swatch this with a matte coat too but then i was so happy taking pics that forgot to apply matte coat. Read Jen's post about mallard her inspiration behind the shade. Following pics show 2 coats of Mallard with top coat. First 2 pics shown Mallard in low light and the next to in good light conditions.

"clarity & light never lose your" Focus by Sheila from Pointless Cafe. Focus  is a red-violet polish with loads of micro flakes. Read  Sheila's post on Focus to know more about color inspiration and more swatches.

Focus's formula is also excellent and require 2 coats. The micro flakes looks vibrant pink and purple. In following pics i applied 2 coats of focus and a top coat.

Both of the shades are limited addition and available through piCture pOlish website and their network members.

So, which one you like. I love and adore both the shades. Please share your views.

Snowfall Manicure

Hello Chics,
How you all doing. Last weekend we experienced very nice snow fall here in London.
I know some of you doesn't like it because as beautiful as it looks from inside the house, its much more inconvenient if you have to go out for work. I come from a place where we never have snowfall, so for me its always amusing to experience it.

Enough rant, the point is I decided to do a snowfall manicure inspired by current weather conditions here in UK. I have added some random pics which we clicked outside.  Here's what i created:
base: Barry M blueberry ice cream
stamping polish: moyou white
stamping plates: Gals GA33(index), Dashica XL SDP 69(middle), Nailways snowwhite weather plate(ring), HD05(pinkie).

how do u like d manicure?? Here are some random clicks of outside:

 my snow family
isn't he cute.. look like snow bird rather than snowman :D

Hope you enjoyed the post. Please do comment.

Stay Safe.

Coming to the polishes, first thing to note is the new labels:

Here's a close of glitters in both.

Ménage á Trois has a pink tinted base with holo glitters and hex shifting from pink to red to purple.
I layered 2 coats of ménage á trois over Tip Top nail chic Meringue Surprise. Formula is nice and easy to apply can be wear on its own but need 3 coats for full coverage. No fishing require.

Next is Pot 'O Gold. Its true St.Patrick's Day polish with lots of green holo glitters and big holo gold hex glitters in a clear base. I layered 2 coats of this polish over Gosh Early Green. Glitters are easy to apply too.

I also layered it over a cream black, which i am currently wearing.

so which one(or both) you like most.

OPI Mariah Carey Collection Feturing Liquid Sand Polishes

Hello Chics,
I hope you all had great weekend.. Its now chilling outside and hopefully when i wake up in the morning i will experience snowfall.. :)

Today, I have OPI liquid sand polishes to show you which are part of OPI's newly launched Mariah Carey Collection. This Collection has 8 polishes in total, 4 of which are Liquid Sand polishes. As OPI says "OPI Liquid Sand™ lacquers featuring groundbreaking technology for a textured, matte finish infused with reflective sparkle" , these are stunning polishes and if you like textured polishes than you are in heaven.

I got a mini set of 4 polishes from ebay.  These polishes dries matte yet with lots of sparkle. OPI recommend not to use Top Coat with liquid sand polishes.

**Picture Heavy Post**

So, first is Get Your Number. This a blue jelly polishes with holo glitters.. polishes dries matte but glitter still sparkles and looks beautiful.. its a bit sheer and but 2 coats make it right .. in following pics i used 3 coats of Get Your Number and no top coat..

hopefully you can see rainbow sparkling glitters of the polish... this polsih is perfect combination of matte with glitters.. matte effect looks more beautiful as time pass. Formula is nice and apply easily.

Can't Let Go is a purple base with lots of purple hex glitters. The color actually is more towards grape purple than appearing here. Applies easily and need 2 coats however to add more drama i layered 3 coats of this  polish.

The Impossible is pinkish red jelly bas e polish. In some swatches over the internet i saw this polish having star glitters alongwith hex glitter but i couldnt find  a single star even after fishing.. maybe mini bottle doesn't have/very few stars in it. Apart from that , its a beautiful polish not my favorite in the collection but doesn't hate either. It took 3 coats to build this up.

Last and my most favorite from the collection is Stay The Night. It's a black jelly base with dark pink/red glitters. I love love love this shade. Took 3 coats to full and nice opacity.

Overall, I like all the four polishes although they took a little more drying time as I  didn't apply any fast drying top coat. Many of us doesn't like textured polishes but if you like as myself than these can't be avoided. Can't comment about the stayng power though as i change my polishes in a day or two and when i took them , they all were doing ok.

so, what all would be your picks.
